Charter Oak Park Story
For the Charter Oak Park story, Ryan Stewart and I investigated the new renovations to the most popular park in town, and we were able to interview one of the men who made this renovation happen.
Barr Grant Foundation
The Barr grant was one that provided our school with thousands of dollars over the next few years to pay for field trips and other out of school events. This story told our Manchester community about where the money is going and the effects of the grant on our community.
Cross Country State Opens
This fall, 3 cross country athletes performed against the entire state in the state opens. Joey Pearl, Yankarlos Diaz, and Kate Hedlund all performed at Wickham park. We were able to capture interviews with athletes and coaches to see what this event meant. and investigate the future of our MHS cross country program.
Pearl Drums (STN)
This STN feature was a story on the theme of "Rock This Town". I completed this story in about 6 hours and it had to do with Pearl Percussion's everlasting impact on the city of music (Nashville). This story was featured art the Student Television Network convention the same week.
Gary Marineau Spotlight
On this Pulse, I highlighted the new Varsity baseball coach who was hoping to lead our team to a comeback season. Coach Marineau brought lots of new energy to the program, which was all highlighted in my story.
Fortnite: Internet Takeover
This program had to do with a relevant video game named "Fortnite" that has taken over the internet as of late. In the story, I got interviews of players who believed that the game sometimes gets a bad perception.
Anchor Shoot
This program gave me first time ever anchoring a program. Along with next year director AJ Alibrio, I conducted an anchor shoot where I was able to show my on air talent in a different way. This was a fun and interesting experience for me.
Matt Barnwell Spotlight
Matt Barnwell is the current valedictorian of the Class of 2019. Matt is a baseball player and great scholar, and I had the honor of producing a spotlight on him after he won the governor's scholar award in May. Matt was one of 35 students in the state to win the award.
Dylan Benton Spotlight
Dylan Benton is a standout baseball player for our MHS varsity baseball team. Dylan will be attending CCSU to pitch next fall. This story captured his impact on the MHS program itself, and his hopes for a future in baseball.
